On Saturday 6th Sept., the museum tram will be running!
Latest news: Oslo Sporvognsdrift AS places the museum tram to disposal for LTF, so that it will be running.
In co-operation with Oslo Sporvognsdrift AS (operator of the tramway lines in Oslo), we're arranging the Tramway Museum's Day. The museum tram consists of motorcar no. 70 and trailer no. 647 from 1913 (the last was rebuilt from motorcar to trailer in 1994), painted in the classic blue livery which came in 1924. The museum tram will be running in a ring from Stortorvet via Aker brygge, Solli plass, Frogner, Majorstuen and Homansbyen back to Stortorvet from about 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The timetable can for the museum tram on 6th September can be downloaded here (in Norwegian only).

The museum is open
The museum tram stops in the street crossing at Majorstuen. From there it's a couple of minutes' walk to the Tramway Museum. Follow the tracks from the tram stop at Majorstuen turning left into Slemdalsveien and after that turning right into Harald Hårfagres gate.

New features
I the museum you can see in total 25 trams and 10 buses exhibited from all periods of Oslos history of public transport. But we are especially proud of our new features in the museum. In the wooden car from Holmenkolbanen, you can try to be a driver in the simulator. When you enter the Goldfish, you may listen to how it sounded to go by the Goldfish in service. Under the Ekebergbane tram you can see how the tram looks under the skirt. The rebuilt Høka tram is equipped as a cinema tram with nice films from Oslo.
