Publications
The LTF members receive the periodical Lokaltrafikk which takes up historical and recent matters connected to rail and bus operation. You are welcome to write for Lokaltrafikk. In addition, the members receive the internal news bulletin LTF News, and we sell a lot of books, postcards and other publications from Norway and foreign countries in the museum shop at Majorstuen.
Restoration
LTF is restoring buses and trams. During the last yeards, we have been working on the "blue tram" train 307 + 347 from 1913. In addition, we have almost restored completely tramcar no. 32 from the "green tram" from 1899. The association's Holmenkolbane metrocar no. 42 is restored to original appearance from 1917. We are also restoring AS Oslo Sporveier's bus no. A-177 from 1933. The restoration works are partly done by volunteer members of LTF, but naturally much work is set away to professionals. The restoration work is financed partly through the association's own contributions, partly through grants from the state, the community and sponsors. Everybody is welcome to join in on the restoration works, both professionals and laymen. Tuesdag from 18:00 p.m. is the fixed restoration evening.
Member activities
Except for this, there is much activity among the members. Some like to photograph, othes study historical material in the LTF Archive. We arrange meetings and excursions for the members. Everything from line extensions to the first run by new material can be the subject for excursions. Speakers are invited to inform about historical subjects or about news.
