Picture of the Month, April 2002  Ekebergbanen's bus no. 9, C-4059 and later A-15429, was built by Volvo and Høka. It was registered on 13th March 1947 and discarded in 1976. The bus was delivered with a petrol engine. When the bus was taken out of service, AS Ekebergbanen kept it to run to and from AS Ekebergbanen's holiday home. Later it was taken over by the works division. The bus was almost in the origianl condition until the 70's and was intended for LTF. By accident the bus was sold for scrapping and therefore not preserved for the future. Photo: LTF Archive. |
