Picture of the Month, November 1999 ![]() On the picture is the Bærumsbane's A class motorcar no. 33, ex. Østensjøbane car no. 5, at the Lilleaker-Østensjøbane. The Bærumsbane received 24 A class tramcars from van der Zypen & Charlier in 1924 og six A class tramcars from Skabo in 1926. The Østensjøbane received seven A class tramcars from Skabo in 1926. All A class tramcars had electric equipment from Siemens. And how do you separate A class tramcars built by Skabo from the van der Zypen and Charlier tramcars? Well, platforms in each end of the Skabo tramcars are a little bit longer than the platforms on the van der Zypen and Charlier tramcars, therefore the side windows on the Skabo tramcars nearest each end is a little bit longer than on the van der Zypen & Charlier tramcars!
